In our world of dog breeding and hobbyism, there is an invisible but ever-present issue that affects not only our four-legged companions but also ourselves: parasites. These little nuisances can not only impact the health of our beloved pets but also be transmitted to humans or other domestic and wild animals.

Puppies and young dogs are at a significantly increased risk of parasitic infections because their immune systems are still developing. But how can we, as responsible dog lovers and breeders, combat this invisible threat?

The upcoming lecture will address the current situation in the world of parasites, particularly concerning puppies and young dogs. We will understand why puppies are especially vulnerable and how we can optimally protect their health from the start. From assessing the risk of infection to effective treatments with modern antiparasitics and creating a parasite-free environment, the best strategies to keep our surroundings and dogs healthy will be presented.

But that’s not all. In my lecture, I will not only share valuable knowledge but also provide advisory support to breeders, especially concerning and after the transfer of puppies. Learn how targeted preventive measures can minimize the transmission of parasites from mother to puppy, thereby protecting not only the dog but also ourselves and others from the consequences of parasitic infections, which we are obliged to do.

Parasites can not only lead to health problems but also impair the growth of dogs and, in the worst cases, lead to severe illnesses and even death.
